hiya just found this site whilst looking for some info regarding having a earphone in whilst riding and the comunity seemed warm and freindly so i thought id join an become part of the cominuty

i got my license in june this year and have recently got my first bike a pegeuot ellisyo 100 its probably more a hair dryer than a real machine but im sure youll agree its better to have a tumble on a scooter than a serious crash on something i cant handle

anywho i look forward to chatting with you all at some point and will hopefully get you some pictures of my scooter for you to see

Nooooooooooo, Tef's going to tear you a new one for that. Laughing

If you're happy on it, then it's the right bike for you.

As far as having an earphone in whilst riding...I do it. Quite a few people off here do it, long as you can still concentrate and hear what's around you you'll be fine.

I love listening to music whilst riding. Although I can look a bit of a twat when waiting for traffic lights to change as I can get a bit carried away Dance!

I'm in dudley too. A few of us are meeting up next sunday at 9am at quatt cafe near bridgnorth. This is a bit of a rare event, so if you dont come to this one, the next may be ages away. It should be nice meeting people.

Bit of a trek on a scooter, but you might enjoy it. You could take the little backroads through places like claverley rather than sticking to the B roads.

I like your posting style, and hope you stick around on this forum.

why ?. regional accents are a great thing . i would much prefer to hear a yam yam or a black country accent rather than hear it get replaced by that disgusting universal middle class student talk ...like..yah...tottally.
they have lived so long from the days of the settlements
there so rich in history .
regional accents are a great thing in my opinion .
could you imagine going to rural parts of devon and hearing people with rah rah accents ? how horrible would that be
ps.

I asked a bloke in Dudley for directions once... pointless exercise, he might as well have been speaking Cantonese. Rolling Eyes

You're just too young.... its the 'Benny' association.... as in Benny from Cross-Roads; the accent has a natural commical connotation... re-inforced by the fact Brummies & Blackcountry folk are able to tale themselves not so seriousely.....

It is a loverly 'soft' accent for the most part, and it 'fits' that slightly 'row-t-und' bit dipppeee regional characature..... the gumbly-brumie!

But does depend on the person too; went out with a girl from sheldon.. once... emphasis on the ONCE..... oop Br-oared Street, loik.... did the BrrrrINDleee and the BASS-owse, didnwee?

Only out of her, it was more 'Yawl reet ShaZ!' with a deep nasal twang...... Loverly girl, and fit as feck, was secritree in purs'nell, troyin out t'bee modil, wanshea... but JEEZ, after the forth drink, any fantacies about what I could do with her after were COMPLETELY shattered!

Realised about then, I'm not a leg-man, a tit-man or arse man.... I'm a 'voice-man'.....

But its not JUST the accent, it's the natural tombre and sybilance of the speach.....
