dunno if this is the right section ......

two of my friends have been seriously injured today after a old couple pulled in front of their VTR near blackpool they wernt speeding or anything doing 50 on a 50 road when the car pulled out right in front of them. they are only a young couple (both under 23) and the girl is in crit condition and was airlifted from the accedent

apparantly the car driver is known around his town as haveing shit eye site .......seriously i wish they would bring in enforced tests on elder drivers . i have nearly been knocked off four times in two months all by older drivers it that area . obviously were all hopeing theyrefine but as it stands it doesnt look good Sick

heres to hopeing the crash wasnt as bad as it looked Sad Sad

Hope they are both ok and they come out of it fine.

Unfortunately this kind of thing happens far too often. Are the police prosecuting the arsehole that hit them?

Hope they are ok. Keep us posted. Always depressing when a biker gets knocked off. Could be any one of us one day.

hope there both ok,
+1 on old people being re tested, even if its an eyesight and reaction test, too many of them on the road that are complete dangers.
old guy that lives across from my mum and dad only recently gave up. driving, but he drove like a fuckin maniac, old fool could barely walk.

I'm so sorry to hear this, I can't begin to imagine what it's like for you, her friends and family, or especially the rider. Deepest sympathies for everyone involved, and I hope he pulls through and recovers.

I'll bite my tongue about the car driver, but I see it was a Micra. Straight up, whenever I see one of those things on the road, I now assume that it's likely to do something hazardous.

Ride safe, all.

Fucking blind car drivers... sorry but I really do fucking hate them...been pulled out on a few times now, they were either drunk or really old and cant see for shit.

RIP, its a shame to hear of another biker being knocked off and a fatality because of it.
Hope the rider recovers well.

RIP and sympathies to all involved, can't imagine how tough that has got to be on everyone.

I hope the old couple take this as a message to get off the fucking road and stop endangering peoples lives, +1 on the retest after a certain age.

Sorry to hear the young lady died and deepest sympathies to her family.

At some point the Govt are going to have to make mandatory retests for people over the age of 60 every 2 or 3 years.I know some or even most can drive fine but we've got an aging population which means there'll be so many more unfit drivers on the road over the next few years!

R.I.P

So tragic to hear when a fellow motorcyclist has been involved in a fatal accident and any accident in fact.

My sympathy is to her family and friends and to the rider. Hope he soon gets better and manages to stay strong through these sad times.

+1 to all the comments regarding re-tests. I'm sure all of us have experienced the stupidity of these elderly drivers.

Ride safe all.
