A friend of mine has an Aprilia RX50. I tidied up the bike about 6 months ago as it had been stood for some time.
I checked it had coolant, oil and 2 stroke. It kicked after a few times and was good to go.
When riding it back to his mums place to keep it, the bike stuttered to a standstill, as he describes. It did kick over after a few goes and he made it home.
I looked at the bike a couple of weeks back and decided to just replace all fluids, plug and get it running again. When I took the sump plug out, the fluid was milky white. This is, from memory, what happens when water gets into the oil right?
He’s asked me if the bikes is worth keeping, to me it is but I’m unsure about what I need to do to get it running again.
Will it need a rebuild?
Does this mean one of the gaskets has failed?
I’d be hard pushed to find a good running engine for one, they aren’t the most popular bike anymore. ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

Having a think about it, it has been left to stand for a long time before.
Maybe the oil had condensation or something, just the fact it had probably only been warmed up a couple of times. I doubt very much if he is the sort to change the oil.
If so, could this mean i could grab some oil, check the spark plug etc and fire it up? ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.
