On the way to work this morning, I was about 5 cars behind a guy on a scooter with L's on a dual carriageway. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but one minute he was there and the next he was on the floor and his scooter was across the road.

Poor guy, I was about to get out and run over to him to see if he was ok, but I was amazed because both the drivers of the car in front and the car behind were stopped and helping him up. That was very nice to see.

The guy seemed really shook up, his scooter was a bit scuffed though. Quite scary to watch.

Anyone else witnessed anything similar?

Not quite, but came a little too close for comfort to taking out a ped boi this afternoon.

Went out for a blast (making the most of the decent weather) and was coming back from Bridgenorth
towards Whorfield (The Wheel) doing a sensible speed on a NSL road. The ped ahead of me is hugging
the grass verge so I indicate and move out to accelerate past him. Then, as I'm almost alongside,
the prat decides to pull across the road and turn right without any indication!!

In trying to scrub off speed I did a side slide that any supermoto rider would have been proud of!!

All the idiot could manage was "I'm sorry, I didn't see you" and I was lost for words (yes, ok unusual I know)
so muttered a few choice expletives at him before continuing an otherwise good ride.

Last week I came to a junction where an old-styled scotter had had an off. It must have happened just a couple of minutes before, because the police arrived while I was there. There were a couple of people standing around, some with lids - no one looked injured, so I rode on. There was no sign of any cars though, so wether he fell or was pushed I don't know.

the only accident I have ever witnessed was a Ducati 998 (maybe, they all look the same to me) pulling off from the traffic lights when I was a passenger in a car, no idea what went wrong but he had a pillion and the bike just dropped to the left. At this point he must of panicked and he throttled it send the bike shooting over to the right and into a lamp post, the result was a pillion witha broken ankle and a very broken ducati.

Went out for a blast with some friends, one of them being Vince Whittle (the guy that nearly took Haga out when he turned his 998 into a giant fireball in British superbikes). Me and Vince got a bit competitive on a twisty section of country road and I was inches from his back wheel as we entered a 40-50mph right hand bend.
All of a sudden he went from full lean to sliding along the floor and I had to maintain my line to just miss him.
I stopped a little further up the road and ran back to where he was sitting having been caught by a barbed wire fence. He was ok though.

Not enough bikes 'round here for me to've seen a crash in person. Hear about 'em every once in a while. Usually fatal. Shame. Thumbs Down

Nearest thing I've come across is a ped boy at the bottom of my street shaking and staggering about with his ped in bits. I stopped and went to see if he was ok. A taxi driver pulld out on him and clipped the bike off he goes and the taxi driver doesn't stop. TW@T Anyway I took him home on the back of mine and he somehow managed to get the moped back.

I was once following two guys on scooters on a rainy day coming up to a roundabout - the second one saw someone coming round the roundabout at the last second and grabbed the brake... the front wheel tucked under and the whole scooter cartwheeled over the top of him! It looked scary but he got up straight away and wheeled it away looking pretty dazed - certainly made me more wary on the wet days...
