Hi all, well today i went and picke dup a suzukie dr 600 part finished project which im chuffed to bits with, at the moment the engine is in a box fully stripped missing the magneto and the rest is a rolling bike.

the guy i got it from hadbought it from a friend and was in the progress of a full rebuild for no other reason than a gearbox fault which im yet to find.

the frame has been blasted and resprayed with the forks and swinger in silver and the smaller parts in black and is looking really good.

the bearings through out have been replaced and most parts just need a good clean.

anyway what im after is a good forum for parts and knowledge on the dr but cant find one unless someone on hear recomends one

also how do i upload pics straight onto here thanks adam

heres a link to the gumtree add.

ha cheers, went from leeds to sheffield for it and the guy was sound even if he did have a funny sheffield accent lol,

1st thing il do is send the v62 off and apply for v5 once thats done source all missing parts which so far is not easy,

then the fun will begin, theres one just sold on ebay which looks like its been at the bottom of leeds & liverpool canal for a few years that went for 500 quid.

this one will look ace as the engine will get a fresh paint black cylinder and silver head ect.

just struggling fining parts the list so far is

rear left indicator easy to find

stator only 1 i found for sale in america lol

a tank no luck

carb no luck

rear silencer no luck

Remember to reSORN it as well (assuming it is SORNed already) to avoid the DVLA demanding money with menaces.

All the best

Hi

Not sure on the official position. I presume that you can do it using the new keepers slip from the V5.

All the best
