couple of questions.
need the rubber seals as the old ones are raggety, where would i get them? cant find them on fleabay etc
obviously theres no fluid left so what is the procedure for puting new stuff in?, open the bleed screw and pump it through using the brake?
this is for the rear brakes btw.

Hi

Possibly need to go to Aprilia for the seals. That said the seals used in that caliper normally last very well.

All the best

Keith

the 2 small ones are goosed, although i dont really think there needed, but one of the bigger ones has a ragged edge stopping one of the pistons moving.

Hi

The 4 pot Aprilia calipers seem to normally last very well with the seals (they have proper outer seals). It might be easiest to just buy a 2nd hand caliper..

All the best

Keith

the outer seals are gone Sad only the inner ones are there, would it be dangerous to go without?

Hi

Often not (indeed on some bike people recommend leaving off the outer seals ). However it will give the inner seals a far harder life, and brake seals is one thing Aprilia have done well.

Front caliper rebuild kit seems to be £84.52

2nd hand caliper should be easy to find (they used pretty much the same caliper for close to 20 years).

All the best

Keith

Hi

Front. Rear is even more generic I think.

All the best
