Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Try to have spare levers, footpegs etc may save the rest of your day if you have a small spill.

Take lots of water to keep hydrated, plus some decent food and fruit. Nothing greasy, else the session after lunch can be dangerous.

If you're going in the van, bike keys and alarm fob.
I'd also suggest taking a written out copy of the trackday forms so you don't have to fiddle around when you get there.

I thought there was already a checklist thread?

Bike keys are surprisingly important, especially if you're trailering a bike there. When I arrived at Cadwell a few months back I was pretty sure I'd left them at home, luckily a mate had grabbed them.

Leathers, licence, decent tool kit and enough parts/bodging material to fix a problem. (cable ties and gaffer tape).

There's normally a tyre guy at the track, but if you're buying new ones you'll pay for the priviledge. So if you need new tyres, get them changed before hand. A few warm up laps will be plenty to scrub them in.
Above all, I'd take a trailer/van, so if it goes tits up, you can still get home.

I'm taking notes! Got my first day on Thurs.

Bricking the noise testing though, no idea if it will pass and no real way of making it quieter. Confused

Good tip is to loosen your lever perches on the bars.
That way, if you do have a small spill, they should just rotate on the bars, rather than snap your levers straight off.

Obviously dont have them completely loose. Laughing

But just enough so if you do twat one, it will move round on the bars, rather than be completely ridgid.
