Over 500 miles on the new bike and I'm now allowed to rev it to 11,000. It's in for it's first service on Monday morning.
I'm not supposed to take it to the redline (15,500) until after 1000 miles. There's no way I'll get that mileage on before Silverstone next wednesday and 11,000 is only good for 130mph if I tuck right in.

I'll just have to make the time up in the bends I guess!

There's a lot more where that came from.

I'd really like to see you try and keep your bike bellow 11k on that track day.. no offence Wink but you'll have it to redline within 1 session and have completely forgotten about the "running in", what running in? Wink Laughing

Balls to it - a running in bike needs a good thrash every now and then. Very Happy

Make it a fair contest between everyone, save the excuses. Wink

Yes, um, I only realised my odometer was in km rather than miles when I'd done 200 of them and wondered why it ticked up so fast. Embarassed There goes my breaking in procedure... Rolling Eyes Whistle

I'm not looking forward to having the NSR rebuilt.
Well, it'll be a great weight off my mind, but 5000RPM for 500 miles???
It'll be like riding a ped all over again Sad .
