Getting dried is just an excuse for riding faster - after the rain has stopped obviously.

If already out in the rain then I love it (well since I got some waterproofs that is) and it feels pretty gratifying once you get the knack of it.

When I've been riding in the rain you can often find a small amount of sex wee left on my seat. I'm looking forward to this morning's commute (check the forecast for London/Essex)!

I liken it to the snuggly feeling when you're inside your sleeping bag with rain battering off your tent.

That's assuming you're all geared up. I'm thinking of the long motorway journeys in the rain while tucked in nicely behind your fairing.

I was once on the M5 and was caught up in some heavy rain.
I wasn’t too happy about it at first but then it came down so hard that it started to soak me through. It’s at that point you have to laugh, i was going home anyway.
A biker slowly overtook me on the outside lane, looked across at me and shook his fist to say “COME ON!” Laughing

Best bit is the "Didn't you get soaked?" comments at work. Muppets, you got wetter dashing from your cage to the office door. Rolling Eyes

Yep, that's a nice feeling that and it is similar.

I liken it to Billy Connolly;

"There's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing, so get yourself a sexy raincoat and live a little."

If you wear the right gear it can be quite nice, it's always satisfying riding in the wet. I used to commute in it and if I ever work in Brighton again i'll use the bike again for it.

As my commute these days is down the stairs I dont use it in bad weather as much. Pros of that are it stays cleaner, cons are you have less fun Crying or Very sad
