I'd like a camera for my bike to record my rides in case i need evidence in an accident also to use on the track.
I don't want to spend more than £40.
What do you guys use?

wish you guys would stop posting anything to do with gadgets on bikes

Mines already loaded with inforad, sat nav, mounts, passenger intercom, phone charger

Gonna need a bigger battery soon Laughing

search on ebay, car key camera. They go for £4. The quality isnt too bad.

You will watch the video and think this was a boring idea before you think, oh wait i wish I had spent £300 more so I can see the 10 of miles tarmac in higher quality.

I bought one of them - it was very light, cheap feeling and poorly made and also didnt work, sent it back and bought the veho muvi on which it was based. Much better, only downside is the sound.

That said loads of folk have been more than happy with the one you bought - just my luck to get one of the dodgy ones i guess!

Nope I also got a dodgy/copy one and did some research

It's A copy of a camera called the MD80
"MD80 Mini DV DVR Sports Cam"

It cost me 8 quid..from ebay and It fell apart ate a 4gb SD card and wouldn't charge

Ive Read/watched Numerous Reviews/Reports on the camera and it seems people who are paying £25+ are actually getting the Official product not the copy and hence the good reports

The Original is made by a company called AAE

The Company https://www.aee.com
The Product https://www.aee.com/en/productshow.asp?sendid=40

Official Camera Specifications

The Smallest Digital Video Camera With High Resolution Image MD80
> Thumb size alloy housing
> Manually and sound activated recording
> Web camera for online video chat
> Support AVI video format
> Low illumination, high resolution image with 2000K pixels
> High speed recording and quick light response
> 25 frames per second for 640*480 video output
> Built-in Li rechargeable battery lasting for 2 hours
> Provide 2G Micro SD card and Support 16G memory card (max)
> Easy operation with LED indicator
> Support USB 2.0
> Flexible installation with clip and bracket
> Support JPEG picture format

Then you have the Veho muvi Mentioned by Darth seems very expensive for what it is follows what seems to be the exact design as the aae not sure who made it first though.

OP
Personally i would stray clear of these cameras
they look cheap they feel cheap and they are very small
sometimes a good thing but very easy to lose or stood on etc

Higher market cameras
Go PRO's
DriftHD
POV 1.5HD
Contour GPS/HD
GoBandit HD

Which all spread from £140-£400 but are all great camera and can handle a minimum of 720p at 30fps

The Cheaper Option

Not very safe i agree but i have done it myself and it's not as bad as it looks.

With your budget you could get a Small normal camera and use this option.. i only recommend it temporarily though

Good luck Smile
