new battery + not reading info = angry mrs

tbh i expect a bit of what a knob comments but ive managed to piss my mrs off so much its almost looking for a bed sit time lol

ok i brought a new battery from ebay arrived in under 24 hours i thought great
i opened the said package to be meet with a bottle with no writing on just liquid inside and battery and some very bad Chinese into English instruction

so i thought hey must be deionised water so i filled the battery up to the correct levels and i think job done put on my bike and that should be the end

well it wasn't ionised water but electrolytes witch is a acid and now eating in to my kitchen work surface
i did have a nice shiny black work tops now there are huge white blobs all where i was working

now i feel like a proper numbty as the only liquid i have put into a battery is water not electrolytes Embarassed

this is to her is my biggest fail in her mind so the sofa is my new best friend
has any one else had abosulte moments of stupidity that the MRS wont take lightly ?????? Embarassed

lol there should have been something on the bottle to say it was corrosive,
you need to get some cold water over the area where you spilt any asap to wash it down but its prob too late now Embarassed

Mix a bit of water with some baking soda to form a paste, then rub it on any areas you spilled the acid, it will help neutralise it!
