Talking in the pub tonight about the bike you would love to ride for a one off, lots of exotica and nostalgia mentioned, but you've got 2 bikes only, what would they be???
For me - Doohans NSR when he was winning 500GP's and a Honda 250 6 cylinder from Hailwoods era.
What's yours, can be road, off road, track, anything?

Ducati Desmo, just to see what the closest you can get to MotoGP on the road actually feels like.

An R1, just to find out what all the fuss is about. But I would only ride it with the latest and best protective gear. Wrapped in bubble wrap. With a pillow taped to my chest. Riding on a long line of mattresses. And an ambulance on stand-by. I have about 4 hours of alone riding experience on a 33bhp bike, and I think the acceleration on that is fast.

First thing that came to mind was the desmo. Although someone mentioned the CBR250RR, I've always had a crush on them. A little more realistic, the ducati 848 evo, but the local duke dealer closed before I had a chance to test ride one.

The latest RC212V, i know id never be anywhere near good enough but basically one of them with non spec tyres that dont need someone good to warm them up. Just to see how mental it is.

Then one of these;

Mainly so i can tell the bloke on ebay that he's on drugs and it isn't really worth that much.. But I do think the engine design is ubercool.

Had a go on a bike I've always wanted to ride a few weeks ago - a 350YPVS. It was one of the last of the Japanese ones in black & red, a bit tatty but with a mild tune and some 'crackly' pipes... I hadn't ridden an LC for years, not since I crashed my old 250 at Cadwell and somebody on an MZ ran over it.

Felt like a moped up to 7k, then.... jesus-mother-of-christ it took off like a rocket. I'd forgotten what it was like to put that kind of bhp through pushbike tyres. I want one badly...
