Don't need to forge anything.
Ask them if they'll accept a dyno print out (they should) and then dyno it. I think it's 38bhp claimed from memory, so it should be putting out around 33 at the wheel. Prey it's just under (or put a heavily used spark plug in. )
EDIT - A quick google seems to show graphs between 32 and 38 bhp.
You could simply send them one of those, but that would be highly illegal and I wouldn't be surprised if they check for such things. ____________________ My Flickr |

Don't fret fella, there's options. |
I've got an old FI certificate for the gsxr I could photoshop the details to the drz on?

That's the E model with a better carb and higher compression than the S model, the S model is electric start not kickstart, and as Big Ham has pointed out its also claimed at the crank.

I could bung the old standard airfilter in it and get it dynos relatively cheaply, would you strongly suggest against forging a fake certificate then just to get me through the next 2 weeks till im legal
Thanks |

Hang fire, chumrade.
First, did you agree to this as a condition of your insurance? Remember, it would be perfectly legal to ride it at 48bhp - or 480bhp - while doing Accelerated Access training.
Second, have you checked that they'll accept a dyno print out as evidence? They might think that only FI scamtificates are acceptable.
Third, why are you paying for it? They're the ones asking for it.
Fourth, did they really say "proof or confirmation"? If so, go ahead and "confirm" that it's not making more 25kW. That might be all they want from you - have you asked?
If you do go ahead with the dyno, you could try putting as much slack as possible in the throttle cable, and if it's dual cable, tighten up the return cable, maybe pop some washers on it. Undergap the plug while you're at it, stick a sock in the air filter, there's loads of ways to nobble it for a dyno run - which is why it's so bloody pointless of insurers to ask for "proof". ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Surely you could just grab a washer, drill any old hole, put in for dyno... it may come out at 21hp but hey.. its below 33hp |

I'll probably reply with 'confirmation' that the bike is 33bhp along with copies of my ncb and license, if they ask for proof I can send them the dyno print out when it's done tuesday, don't see why they wouldn't accept it as proof, theres no way I'm going to pay FI international for a metal washer and a piece of paper.
I want to dyno it anyway to see the difference once all the performance mods are done so it doesn't really matter. Plus the guy is only charging me about £30 |
