Done a google search, but I seem to get hits about kids having the issues not adults so much.

So, a bit worried, but on nights out etc, both my eyes show up as white in the retinas.

example here;
https://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r94/Neileng/untitled.jpg

There are a few popping up on my FB of the same, none of the others have it. So far it does seem to be Iphones doing this and in poorly lit areas, but worried as when I searched tuma and the C word popped up.

Any thoughts?

Looks like the reflection of a TV screen. Same is true for one of the girls in that pic.

Edit - exactly the same thing (except it's from the flash) has happened to me and the girlfriend in this one:

Hmm, it's not the only one though, It's always me and in the dark, agreed it will be the flash and the reflection from the retina.

I have about 20-25 photos with it. But maybe it's just the flash off the Iphones. might do a few test, sounds gay but gotta try.

You appear to be the one holding the camera. Potentially it's something to do with the angle you're at to both bold the camera and be in the photo.

Don't some cameras have red eye detection and removal built in? Could be that?

Go to Specsavers and spend £15 on an eye-test (Free if it wet and a Wednesday Wink ).
They are slightly more knowledgeable than a bike forum

If you spend more than i think it is 50% of your working life looking at a computer screen you can get your employer to pay for a test for you.

It is kind of interesting it looks like your eyes do it more than others - but the most likely reason would be you are looking more directly at the camera - or your pupils were more dilated - how much ale consumed? Very Happy

Some more sophisticated cameras have a setting for the flash where it flickers before the main flash, this gives the subject's pupils a split second to shrink before the main flash fires.
Pro photographers would have a separate flash unit to one side which would stop it pretty much altogether.
It's called red eye.

White eye reflections can be a bad sign https://www.daisyfund.org/rb/leuko/adults.html but the reflections in your pic don't look the same.

Optician is definitely the best place to start and the sooner the better.
