Stop wasting your time and money trying to knee down on a couple of roundabouts and go out and ride some proper roads. Thumbs Up

knee down isn't necessarily just to do with speed, it's about technique too, which you seem to be stuggling with

I'd suggest you try a quiet industrial park out of hours, where you can tighten your turning circle as much as needed

as said earlier its not just about speed and lean, you need to hang off the bike, getting you knee down while in the normal riding position will probably end up as knee down/shoulder down/helmet down /ouch Laughing

Watch some moto gymkhana. Does it look like they're doing 40mph?

I know this is something that you're going to do regardless of what anyone says to you, but when you lowside it or go under a mummy-bus, we will of course say "Told you so".

I managed it on a VTR1000 for my first attempt at it i'd imagine a bros should be able too, sounds like you need to hand off more? what tyres are on it?

Edit, and nice to see that after a month and a half of having your full license your taking it easy trying to get knee down...

You can on pretty much anything, Mac-Kaliba on here posted a picture of a knee down on a CG. Technique and some faith in your tyres and you'll be fine.

It does feel quite cool the first time you do it when roundabout surfing but really a knee down should be a by product of riding quickly, rather than riding to get your knee down - the first time you do that is SO much more satisfying Wink

C'mon. Get real.

Stop fannying around getting you knee down. All that's going to happen is a dented tank and dented pride.

Yes you can. Go to pfizers. Kneedown is possible on anything if you just want your knee to hit the ground for bragging points.

I could kneedown my gt550, but had to hang off a lot to clear the exhaust touching down. Kneedowning my drz also.

I should be borrowing a bike on wednesday to head down the pfizers/loop if you want some lessons, but it's pretty simple. Assume position, go round faster. Don't fall off out of shock when your knee hits the ground.

Unlikely to dent the tank, though possible, of course.
Pride is a fool's game Wink.

I bet he has a better understanding of both how far he can lean his bike and what his bike feels like on the limit now - excellent information for those 'real roads'.

A Bros should be fairly easy for knee down - so body position is probably what's needed if you're at the limit of traction.

Preston bends is where the real people go to play, wingham is ok if you like high speed blind corners and not having to be technical about your line. Can also kneedown almost all left and right handers as well on preston. Would be more suited for him on a smaller cc light bike I feel.
I've heard of people going too fast past t junctions on wingham so as the car pulls out you are not in view. I would not reccomend riding as fast as you can until you know the road well.

I've not actually ridden for fun Kent in over five years. It always used to be good. What about the road from Wingham out to the A2? Few knee down corners there.

Curious of the 'Preston Bends'? Anyone show me the route?
