I'm not thinking that far ahead. I fully expect to be dead by then due to BCF imploding or somefink.

Summer didnt arrive here either its pouring ever day here. I rather have some snow that pissing down rain. Neutral Though last year some stupid plumber didnt turn off the pipes upstairs in derelict part and pipes bust bringing down my ceiling in me bedroom Crying or Very sad I was camping in livingroom as it was icy in there as I had no windows just plastic sheet. Sod that for a christmas last year. Confused but I got some great pics. Also town had no water except us for some reason.

Just sometimes, living in a modern, soulless, modestly proportioned, warm, dry, recently plastered econobox with functional central heating and my own non-leaky stuff in the attic has its advantages. And windows. Half a dozen weeks a year boring wins.

Another cold one.

They say when the trees and bushes are as full as berries as they are, it's going to be a hard one. But that's a bit of old wives tales, Scientifically it means it has been a warm Spring or something Laughing

Hopefully not as bad as last year because I have moved house since last year and I pretty much live in the middle of nowhere now.

I live in a very small village with only 3 streets now, no shops, schools or anything - 1 road in and 1 road out.

And the only road has a massively steep hill going each way (with a gradient of about 1:10). Would never be able to drive a car up or down the hill if the snow comes as heavy as last year.

I remember having to leave my car at work last year and walk home 7.5 miles. But there is no chance I will be able to do that this year.

Maybe need to invest in a wee quad with snow chains or something. Smile

Shed has had a quick coat. Installed a kettle.
Got a new waterproof hat. Need another pair of walking boots and get some old favourites repaired.

Rear tyres will make it through ok...ACF50 and WD40 on the shelf.
New winter gloves ( RST Tracktec) are supposed to be upto the job.

Bring it on.

^^ This.

BCF only has a couple of months left, so we won't be able to see.

Actually, given that Warped hasn't made good on his threat/promise to flounce, does this mean that BCF has been saved?

Very mild.....

Very little berries on bushes and tree's at the moment.
Tree's losing leaves very early this year.

For the first time in a very long time I'm in a very comfortable position to see out a really bad winter, which means that this winter will be unbearably mild!

We had summer. This is Britain, if your waiting for Ibiza type summers youve still gota a long wait. Enjoy what we get and if its still so bad, considor moving country? Suntan Kid here moved country and appears to be happy.

Right now, roll on them crisp golden autumn mornings.

Define better and worse!
I like the snow and thus am hoping for more of it Smile. Got winter tyres for the van, so should be able to get around - also studded tyres for the KTM and should have a 'sand bike' sorted by them (though not for my exclusive use) - hopefully a 220 section front tyre should manage ok on snow!
