Fast 5 is supposed to be plotted before Tokyo Drift, so he's alive there and dies later.

God knows why.

Actually, see here:
Quote:
Han appears in Fast & Furious as a member of Dom's team stealing fuel tankers in the beginning, and later in Fast Five as a member of Dom and Brian's heist team, brought on as a precision driver and a "chameleon". While planning the heist, he falls for fellow team member Gisele, who attributes Han's constant need to occupy his hands to his being a former smoker. After the heist, the two start a relationship and travel through Europe, planning to eventually reach Tokyo, leading to the events of Tokyo Drift, where he teaches Sean how to drift, He later dies in a car chase between him and Takashi

This year's one left it open for a 6th though, unsure how it's success will pan out.

Ahh right, I hate it when they make films in the wrong order!

I think they've started making 6 or they've announced it or something. If you watch half way through the credits of fast five Eva Mendes comes in and shows a picture of one of the old characters who was meant to be dead but is now stealing in Germany

They are all shite except the first one.

I hate it when people make films only for the fact that the first film was good and made money and they just want to cash in on it.

I must say that I was a fan of the whole modified car scene a number of years ago and these movies were right up my street, but with these films especially, you can see that they have just been made for the sake of making money.

I feel sorry for the writers to have a jigsaw to piece together from the drivvel that they have produced before and have to tie up loose ends - somewhere someone is going to fuck up and make mistakes (which I can only suggest is the reason for Han turning up in the last film).

As it goes Fast Five is quite good even for action film standards. Its the only one that gets above 5 out of 10 on IMDB and its about 73% on Rotten Tomato's. Neither of which are of course reliable, but they are decent indicators considering how badly the other films are in the franchise is rated.

Didn't Fast Five knock of 'On stranger tides' as highest grossing sequel as well? Thats quite a feat too.

I liked it, instead of pure street racing it's moved to more heist type film like the newer Italian Job.

In my opinion:

First one was OK
Second was crap
Drift was stupid
The Fast and the furious was ok
Fast Five was good

1. 10/10
2. 7/10
3.(DRIFT) 8/10
4. 6/10
5. 5/10

What I find funny, is that you're all slating the second when it was rated industry-wide as the best of the fiv-ilogy. Laughing

Personally I think the team deserve full credit for out of the box thinking, fresh ideas given today's CGI ridden box office tat. (Like Transformers - which as a digital film goes was epic) but it still wasn't 'made'.
