Law actually simply says must be visible from the front......
Bit of a grey area & pedantic plod would say if they cant see the 'L' with the bars in straight ahead possition, when they are stood infront of the bike, then its not posstioned correctly, but they'd have to be pretty peculiarly to be that picky.
Most of the fork mount kits are a bit dire and they all bend in teh wind, and they slip round the leg unless tightened up enough to scratch the slider.... I tend to trim a strip of rubber from an old innert tube, wrap that round the leg then clamp over so that it doesn't scratch the leg, and the rubber grips the leg a bit better.... only then the plate bends more and cracks where it bolts to clamp.... at which point super-glue and an old tin can get pressed into service to re-inforce it... along with mutterings about just passing tests so you can be done with the ruddy things! ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!
