Bacon Fat.

Get some bacon fat on it and then you can spend all day in the sun without it getting worse. It works a treat.

So TIG weld flash all over your face?

Enjoy your skin cancer.

Buy a light reactive mask ffs Rolling Eyes, how stupid can you be? They aren't expensive. There is absolutely no reason to not wear a welding mask in this day and age. If you worked for me you'd be getting a written warning in any case and no sick pay if you're off tomorrow.

Soaking it in colloidial oatmeal can help. Fill an old sock with porrige oats and use it like a teabag in some tepid water until it goes milky then soak the affected area in the resulting solution.

PIC related, may I be the first to call Troll?

If not, and this is AKK-TUH-HAHA-LY for real, then is really to be expected that the following advice would be acted upon?

Seriously Warped, you get a hard time I know, and I was pondering about such like last week..
Thinking in particular about attention whores, and how maybe they are the way that they are because they don't get the right sort of attention that most might take for granted..

But for you? Why? You have no apparent want for anything other than to further humiliate yourself and bring tales of degradation and shame upon to us..
I still can't work you out, it still (only slightly, passed giving a fuck) bothers me whether you simply are that much of a fucktard or
You're just gifted with a very active imagination (which would be better put towards creative writing for profit or thinking about ways to solve problems).
But no, as it is we get stuck with Warped, Warped by name and Warped by nature.
Sad

I was serious. Soaking the area in colloidal oatmeal will relieve the burning sensation.

Google colloidal oatmeal sunburn.

Amputation.

And let your employer know that he was a fool to trust you to work on your own. You clearly still need adult supervision.

There, fixed that for you.

LCD welding screens are good for continuous welding but for wot McGubbins was doing they don't react quick enough so the arc still irritates your vision.

I think wot was required is to support the job PROPERLY or have someone assist.

Face-Ache today Arc-Eye tomorrow.

In my (non-medical) opinion think Cataracts will present long before ocular melanoma does though.

I fear that, once again, people are (probably mistakenly) assuming that this actually happened, and is not just another 'look at meeeeeeeeee' ruse from Warped to get some attention.

On a slightly seperate note, why he would seek the advice of a group of people who he has previously labelled as 'wankers' is beyond me.

Nope, not really, even with a cheap mask the react time is awright. If it's a MIG you can close your eyes, if it's TIG you look at what you're doing. If it wasn't quick enough then your eyes would be fried from the arc starting during regular welding.

This thread is straight from Imaginationland anyway.

I agree. I have used both cheap masks and very expensive ones and neither have been so slow as to cause problems.
I kept a Miller Performance mask from a batch we reviewed for Mini Magazine a year or two back. Very good mask (near $300 worth) and its reaction speed can be adjusted; I rarely use it on the most sensitive settings as even flouro-lights trigger it and it would be impossible to 'pulse' weld with!

Bell. End.

You call yourself a fabricator and you dont have a decent auto darkening helmet?

IF this really happened I am with stinkwheel on this one. I spent today (the whole 8 hours) tacking up the chassis for hook loading skip lorries and havnt had so much as a flash in my eyes.

I bought one of these https://www.partlancer.com/pics/Snap-On-Auto-Darkening-Welding-Helmet-Hood.JPG.jpg a few years ago and it has been perfect.

Im no professional welder but once again mr warped you have come across as being a twunt. Enjoy your face cancer in a few years.
