Considering there are anecdotals of cops using vernier calipers on your plate and giving tickets out for them being <1mm size difference they'd probably throw the book at you tbh.
Its also rubbish, it takes a full 2 seconds to actuate.
Why not use LCD frosted glass instead?

Velcro plate FTW.
Probably be better off riding with no plate then just saying it had fallen off if stopped. ____________________ My Flickr |

Problem with that is that if the Police are following you in the dark, it will become illegible when their headlights shine on it.
If a small numberplate is enough to have the DVLA issue a Q plate registration for your bike (if you're caught twice), imagine what you'd be looking at if they can't read your number plate at all ? ____________________ 1988 Kawasaki KMX 200

A strategically broken number plate works well, so I've been told
Broken through one of the fixing holes wont allow you to fit it back onto the bike, only the half held on by the other screw. Keep the broken part under the seat wrapped up in a rag so it doesn't get scratched and "it got broken earlier today officer when I caught it on a wall while maneuvering the bike out of a tight position, a car driver blocked me in. I'll get it sorted as soon as I get home".
My mate swears it saved him a fortune in speeding fines traveling up and down the motorways and the only 2 coppers that stopped him bought it |

Don't know which made me feel worse - That, or the fact that the problem with the lights was that I'd managed to loosen the battery wiring |

Or just do what a local does and pop an epic wheelie past the speed camera so it can't see your plate. |

Dont know if my limbs would allow me to do that though |
