Evening all, I've got a samsung galaxy spica, its currently on T-mobile but I want it on 02.

Does anyone know of a website for buying the codes that is trustworthy? I see lots of sites all offering codes within different timescales for different costs.

I know not who to trust young skywalker.

Cheers.

Try asking T mobile for it first, if you have had it a while then the code is usually free Thumbs Up .

I may very well be wrong, but if it's an Android phone could you not root it?

I tried on a Samsung.

You can find free codes online, but too many attempts can render the phone useless......

The code that I paid a few quid for was OK (I think) but the phone didn't allow you to type it correctly (code specifed a hash and phone didn't have one). Online company gave me a refund.

If you are inexperienced, I'd go to one of the stalls or independent shops. But before you decide which one, pop into your local mobile phone shop and ask the guys who they reccomend. We always know which stall is most reliable!

These guys were OK last time I used them.

For the record, rooting an Android handset does not in and of itself remove a simlock. It can actually be a dodgy thing to attempt as with some phones flashing deep enough in NVram can bugger up all sorts of interesting stuff, including wiping your IMEI or simply bricking the handset.

The market stall idea ain't a bad one. They'll do it while you watch and don't often charge much.

Was going to try the stall idea but to be honest when I've spoken to them here most seem dodgy as you like, obviously no phone numbers and all require the phone left with them for a day or two.

Just didn't fancy it, will try in a shop tomorrow if not I'll flog it I think.

Unlocking a handset with DavinciTeam is a simple and straightforward process assuming you follow our instructions exactly.

Types of Unlocks

We offer two different processes for unlocking most handsets - an instant permanent unlock and a temporary patch unlock. Please see the links below for details on both.

We also offer an unlock by code service for many handsets including all locked to the Vodafone UK network, all locked to the ATT US network and all handsets from Samsung, Blackberry and HTC.

Finally we offer exclusive iPhone 2G & 3G unlocking solutions via Simlock.com.

meh.

hi there are many ways to unlock the mobile we can use
software ,cable ,codes etc.... among them codes are the best you can get the
codes from here https://www.superunlockcodes.com/ here they ask the country from where you brought
the mobile because t-mobile is a provider for many countries .finally they ask the imei
number of the mobile and then they provide you the codes to unlock the mobile.

Think thats a smart move, bollocks do you have to leave it with them, shouldn't take more than 10 mins....

For future reference.

If you own an iPhone locked to o2 they will unlock it for free. It can take a while but does work. Thumbs Up

Try calling O2 rather than T-mobile. O2 have a vested interest in you changing to their network, T-mobile have nothing to gain.

Sounds good to me - the local market stall wanted £100 to unlock my iphone from O2 "because it has the latest firmware in it"
