Hi, I am taking a look at a Yamaha SR125 tomorrow evening and was wondering what you think of this bike;

1998 SR125
MOT + TAX
Full Service History
10,800 miles

£1095

(i only need it for a year, should do 5000miles max)

I spoke to the woman tonight and she said she bought the bike 6 months ago from a dealer and has only done about 300+ miles since!

Should I still take a look at the bike?

Thanks again for any help,

i find no difference between 12bhp and 28bhp - they are all fuckin slow

nothing against 4 stroke 125's as a rule but I don't like the SR125. I did some of my lessons on it and it WAS shite like Oggie says. The custom looks are nasty as well. Better off with a CG or a GS.

also not being funny but there is a difference mate

12bhp= 11 sec 0-60 (if theres a hill it won't even get to 60) and 65mph if your lucky

28bhp= 6 sec 0-60 and 100mph

There was a guy at work who rode an SR every day, he was over 6' and pretty well built. He looked SO stupid, he got laughed at every day - especially when I whooped him in my car!!! (a 903cc shed)

A massive difference between the powers, SRs look nasty - handle badly - it'll take ages to get used to a sports bike afterwards, as for getting yourself killed - more likely on an SR you have no power to get out of trouble.

Plus, the chappies at works was ALWAYS breaking down!! Heheheheheh, me NSR fires straight away and he's left standing htere. Used to have to keep borrowing on eof the work cars and leaving the bike at the garage overnight!!! (AND That was dealer maintained from brand new!!)
