Better than nothing, but I'd pay extra for knitted.

I think there the same ones i've got, last year, when they were 35 quid. Would not buy them at 50, much better off adding a bit more and buying better.

I got some cheap Kevlar jeans from ebay (well, £50 ish). They tore at the crotch when I was at a shoe shop.

I'd stick with paying a bit more for Hood, which are well made with good customer service and a British company too.

My Hood Jeans are going on four years of daily use and one 20mph off and they're still in brilliant condition. They may sound expensive, but Hood Jeans will out last the cheap ones a couple times over and offer you better protection.

What about the Sartso that are Interwoven thought they were supposed to be one of the best makes around.

All the other jeans I can find are around £110 and just seems a lot considering I will only be using them to go to shop in (as opposed to my regular jeans)

Hmmmm Confused

Depends what they mean by "interwoven". On cheap jeans, I'd go ahead and assume that it means that the kevlar is woven rather than knitted. You'd have to ask Sartso what they mean by it.

According to the following link they are woven however after viewing the website and seeing them test the jeans they survive pretty well. Guess it depends on the company selling them and not down to the actual words used.

Although you can never be too careful when spending over £100 on a pair of jeans, that are meant to save your life and end up coming apart when bending over.

Mmm, interesting. I'd read that knitted is better than woven, but that was written several years ago. Woven is cheaper, and is used in the off-brand jeans.

However, if Sartso are claiming that they've developed a weave that exceeds knitted, than I'd be inclined to believe them on it - they do take it pretty seriously.

I got some from Austrlian bikers. £65 with knee and hip armour, seem well made, keep the cold off your legs brilliantly as well.
