Hey hey, nice to see that you're on 2 wheels!! Middle Finger Mr. Green Middle Finger The NRG is a good bike to cut your teeth with... i had one for a year (handed down to me from DAD) and i used it for commuting... best way to protect it is to get a disk lock and a chain and padlock... i would recommend going to an Infinity Motorcycle store for some discount Oxford locks... My bike had an immobiliser on it so nobody even touched it (inc ped bois). However, the chances of you finding A PERSON riding an NRG /SENSIBLY/ is very slim as it is the ultimate ped boi mobile! Twisted Evil . Nothing you can do really. Best bet for you is to deristrict it (if you're legally entitled to) but DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE bore it up... leo vinci ZX is the max i'd go to! My bike was standard and pulled 50mph (i don't think i had the restrictors removed as i do not remember having any receipts for derestriction), either that or speedo poorly calibrated... PM me if u need more help on your NRG!!! Have fun and ride sensibly Thumbs Up Very Happy

A couple from these forums live near or round abouts by you Thumbs Up

Its good that your parents are supportive towards the bike, i know many aren't. Sometimes you'll find nothing better than just to get away from things by getting on your bike and going for a ride on your own, at your own pace, know what you mean about wanting others to enjoy the ride with tho but im sure you'll meet some soon enough. Everyones got the fear of a bike getting nicked or vandalized but just take a few good precautions like a sturdy chain and alarm, park in well lit areas with constant people if you can, you'll be fine !

Safe riding dude! Smile Thumbs Up

Welcome to the mini Piaggio clan we have here. I have a Typhoon, really shit, it's an R reg. I don't live near you, but have fun. Fortunately for me my parents were supportive too. I don't meet up with the local ped bois, they are gimps. I have a few other ped buddies where we go riding too.

Just enjoy riding it and don't get depressed about the speed, like I did. Sad
