KTM 625 SMC?

Well, looks like i'm getting a few days on one of these whilst one of my friends visits family up north

How are they? Never ridden a KTM at all

Quick google suggests around 50hp, fairly light bike, not as like as others but still pretty light compared with what i'm used to.

Its in great condition, 3000 miles from new, only plan to have a few hours bimbling on it, haven't gone for a ride in forever/BCF BBQ so want to take a few country lanes etc.

Loaned for weekend as he knows I want an SM and its just sitting in his garage... so, good start on the SM front?

My brother has one, i had a quick go on it. Seemed quite pokey, fairly light and turned like lightening. Also very very vibey.
Thats all compared to my F650 though.

He did a trackday at Mallory on it and was doing some decent laptimes.

I would say you are going to have fun.

Not ridden the 625 but had a 640 and they're immense fun. Very easy to pop the front wheel up and power is there right from the start up to top speed.

Think an SV650. Wide bars, lower gearing and higher CoG.



Of course the 'special' thing about a supermoto should be the lightweight, but I at least rarely actually make any decent use of it over how I could be riding a heavier bike .*

*ie over how a heavier bike can be ridden!
