Thinking about winter gloves, don't need anything too fancy or expensive, they've only got to do me a 15 mile each way commute where I average 20mph. Are pre-shaped gloves any better than un-shaped ones? Any crap brands to avoid?

Roughly speaking, fewer fingers on the gloves means more warmth. Best idea would be to go and have a try of a few. If you are going to have a glove liner, put them in when you try them on. Got mine from HG I think? in Filton, Bristol for about £35 and they are fairly decent.

Hi

Another vote for cloven hooves. Ones we have used have been from JTS which are reasonably priced and not cloth (I have an aversion to cloth gloves on a bike - possibly not justifiable with some modern textiles).
