Hey folks!

I'm just about to replace my current set of bike gear, had it nearly 4 years and it's starting to get very worn out and doesn't fit me anywhere near as well as it should do.

I've found a textile jacket, but I'm very much humming and hawing over whether to go for textile or leather trousers. I'm a 26in inside leg and usually wear about a ladies 22-24. So I'm short with a pudgy butt Razz It's proving a bit of a nightmare to find the right sizes as too many clothes dealers seem to think that women don't exist past a size 16 Wink

I have a pair of quilted textile trousers which are still wearable for 'Good God it's fookin' cold!' weather and Red Route kevlar jeans for summer/short trips but want something that is more suitable for 'general' wear and . I DO have full waterproofs as well that I can throw over the top when it's raining cats and dogs.

Is there any real significant pros and cons between textile and leather panties... I mean trousers? Also, when it comes to the latter, what sort of fitting is usually the best to go for? I.E. Should I be greasing up before I get sewn into the things? Razz

I'd really appreciate some insight, especially from the other lovely ladies that I'm sure must be lurking on here, particularly with regards to where I can purchase more... generously sized clothing Razz

Thanks in advance! (as always)

R.

My mate is getting slowly rounder and rounder (due to her recent meds), and has been getting her larger kit from the e-bay place without any bother at all. If I were you, I'd do a bit of digging. Thumbs Up

She wears mostly textile stuff. I wear a combo of textile jacket and leather jeans. IF I could find a leather jacket to suit my little torso but with long arms - I would have both, but I can't...you have to be Miss Average to get any kit to fit perfectly. Rolling Eyes

JTS does kit for tall women so might be worth trying them as they are less geared towards pillion candy

Yeah been looking at them, like the look of some of their stuff ^^

Just need to make a decision on leather or textiles for me trews Razz Textiles seem to be a little cheaper though so it's possible I'll be grabbing a pair of those for now as my budget's already stretched a little thin ^^;;
