So far the clutch has stuck in neutral about 4 times. I've misjudged a corner and took it so wide I almost ended up in the wall. I froze on some twisties with a serious case of target acquisition, almost got squished with some mistimed filtering, stalled at the lights and tried to pull away in a range of gears from second to fourth. Oh and not to mention appear to have an even worse sense of direction than usual!

And that was just the trip IN to Uni! Clearly I'm seriously getting something out of my system! Perhaps getting all my silly mistakes out of the way before my DAS training this week Razz

Simple avoidance tip:

When you stop a motorcycle and intend to get off, flick the kill switch on and off before you release the clutch, even if it is showing a neutral light.

That way you will never have any such issues.

I'd park up the bike and wait until tomorrow Recluso, seems today isn't your day for biking! Laughing!

No overdose on the water for me sadly. Not even a glass of cider!

I thnk you're right Paul. But I still need to get home. Not entirely cconvinced I'm not going to do myself a mischief along the way! Thank God it's nice weather. Had it been rain and I'd be sure that I was doomed to be a goner!

Very Happy

Well this evening's homeward trek was the polar opposite of this morning! I'm starting to wonder whether I fell through some sort of black hole and ended up in a parallel dimension of 'everything's awesome'.

Everything from filtering, to cornering to even just braking and pulling away went as smooth as butter on a hot pan!

Only downer saw me running over a wee mousie on my way through Leigh Woods. For no apparent reason I burst into floods of tears as I pulled the poor flat bugger off my tire.

Ah well, can't all end well.

Glad you had a better ride this evening Smile
Shame about the mouse though :/
I got a squirrel once, I saw it, swerved to avoid it. It also saw me and changed direction to avoid me...unfortunately it went the same way as me :/ (was it a suicidal squirrel??)

Good look with the DAS too! Very Happy
