Hi Guys,

Had 1and a half days training on a bmw650,getting used to the bike and loving the power difference from the Baby Vara 125.
Having ridden the bmw the day before i was feeling pretty comfortable with it this morning.

Set off for the test centre, had just about a mile to go and got caught in some traffic,so started slowing dropped into first and came to a stop, the bike cut out on me,started her back up then no matter what gear i was i selected the neutral light remained on which threw me.
The instructer came back and suggested i find first and go from there ignoring the nuetral light. Once at the test centre i had to use the other guys bike we were with.So i had a couple of blips on the street and went for it.

So sets off into the coned area doing all shoulder checks and pulls into the first coned parking bay and could i find nuetral....could i f**k,i was messing around for what felt like forever.
Examiner says get off....so i jumps off after turning it off,he puts it into nuetral for me Laughing then with a grin says...sure you can ride a bike?anyway carried on and passed with 1 minor.

Juist a big thanks for all the info Thumbs Up
Oh yeah Mod2 on Wed Sick

Congratulations with the Mod 1 pass, but bad luck with the neutral! Personally that light's never worked on my bike so I've learnt to just judge neutral from the engine/feel on the bike/click - but I think you did especially well as you didn't really have any time to get used to the new bike before taking the test Thumbs Up

Good luck with the Mod 2 on Wednesday! Very Happy

Well done!

Neturals can be tricky, it's in such an awkward place.

Congratulations. I had a bike that hated going into neutral too, which is a real pain on mod 1, but hey steady as you go and the examiners are usually fine Smile

Good luck for mod 2

I am surprised he passed you, examiner intervention is usually an instant fail, of any kind and the moment you start your bike to go to the Module 1 area you are technically 'on test'.

However, congratulations and best of luck for Module 2! Thumbs Up!

Congratulations and all the very best for Module 2. I definitely would have failed if I couldn't get it in neutral as it would have caused me to have a proper panic! Well done on keeping your cool and getting through Thumbs Up

Nice one.

I had my mod 1 today and as I was waiting a young lad on his 125 was doing his. As he did his emergency stop he ended up around 5 foot from the blue cones you get your wheel between on the controlled stop run. He passed.

I was a little surprised at how far he travelled without failing the emergency stop.
