Hi all,

I've had the YBR 125 for a week or two now and have been getting a lot of practice on the road, mainly filtering, shifting gears, slowing and balance and cornering.

I basically need practice in these areas though:

Uturn's
Figure of eight
Hill starts

I was thinking of getting myself cones and practicing somewhere quiet(any ideas?) and some hill's when it's quiet.

I then will start revising for the theory, i've tried the on-line practice test's and seem to be getting a decent score but missing 3 right to pass, so need to do better!.

Then once that's passed and im happy with my above weaknesses go in for the mod 1 and then after that pass hopefully mod 2.

I have a few questions if anyone can help, what is a good resource to practice the theory questions and hazard test?. And where can I pick up some cheap cones or simular objects?.

Any tip's would be appreciated also.

Thankyou.

Something as simple as coke cans will do the job, just find an empty carpark / industrial area and off you go Smile easier when the evening were lighter but a Sunday afternoon will work..

I used iPad / iPhone apps for both theory and HPT. All 900-ish questions on the theory app split into catagories amd also lets you do mock tests. I passed 50/50 and 60/75 so worked for me.

On the mod 1 the cones for the figure of 8 are 6m apart, a parking space is about 3m wide so use two. Go to an empty car park and use the ends of the parking space lines as your markers, i.e. tip of one line to the tip of another line on the far side of the next space.

The U turn space is even bigger at 7.5m, practice it within the same gap of two parking spaces and you will nail it on the day as you have an extra metre and a half to play with.

Business/industrial parks on the weekend at night with well lit carparks are good choices, just find somewhere with a good surface and no people. Supermarket car parks seem to be made out of really crap tarmac as spinning the wheels up in the wet is FAR too easy.

Good luck Thumbs Up .

I did this ^ Used Asda's car park where the truck and buses park/layover as they were the only one's who didnt kick up a fuss. I could also get up to 25mph and practise my emergency stop there Very Happy For the figure of 8 just get some cans or stones and use them.

All the best.
