That is very cheap for a made to measure suit, just look at the price of Scott leathers or similar. I paid £120 for alterations on my leathers but the work is very good.

It might be asking where they are made.

Its impossible to tell unless you get a look at one in the flesh to see how good the stitching is and if the arms are the same length Razz Perhaps offer to review one and do a crash test...

I'm sceptical with all the cheap shit that is on ebay nowadays.

Based on the comments it seems like they are made in pakistan.

There is alot of positive feedback however none of it seems to be for motorcycle gear.

The wolverine leather jackets are apparently top notch. Thumbs Up

I seem to remember a similar thread a while back where someone was organising a bulk buy deal for forum members and, if I remember right, it went totaly tits up. The leathers are put together, (probably by 10 year-olds), in China or India - lots of communication problems, sizing problems, quality control problems, really long delivery times, etc, etc. Like a lot of bargain buys online, it's a bit of a gamble. It'd be nice to be proved wrong but I won't be spending my money with them.

I remember this, but they were supposed to be top branded Halo leathers that cost over £1000 for M2M. Think they got them for like £700 M2M.

That's a lot of money to gamble with.

If you're not buying 'made to measure' you can probably get a much better quality set second hand for less or similar money.

If you are wanting made to measure, it is worth considering, but I'd really want to see some crash-tested ones before entrusting my life to them!

This

I picked up a set of BKS GP200 leathers (real bks made to measure, not the frank thomas stuff) roughly in my size for 100 quid or so and just got them adjusted a bit.

Pfft, right. The seller adress even stays Stoke, so almost certainly they'll come from Cousin Imran in Pakistan, you'll have a long wait, random quality, and either a fraudulent customs declaration, or another bill for import duties plus a handling charge from the courier.

Note that they try and disclaim their responsibilities under the Distance Selling Regulations even for non-custom UK stock. You should probably get your PayPal dispute primed to go before even ordering. Very Happy

That group buy for the Halo leathers went tits up? I thought they were supposed to be top notch leathers?

Anyway, I will never buy another set of leathers online again. You just can't gauge the size and it costs you more to send them back than it cost them to send to you.

I bought a 2 piece RST Rift suit a couple of years back. Bought online via https://www.bigbikebook.com and the zipper connecting the pants to jacket came away after a few months. The pants also were slightly too big for me but I thought they would be fine. The leather gives after a while and they were miles too big. Then the zipper on the front of the jacket broke as well.

Now they don't get any use because the zips are broken and it will cost £100 to have them replaced by a leather repair place. I'd rather put that £100 to a new set of leathers.

I wouldn't buy them from eBay but there is a company I found a few years back who I know a few people have bought items from and said it's brilliant quality.

Thinking about it, it's generally cost me £100 to get made to measure leathers adapted to fit.

When you can easily get decent second hand leathers for £75 on ebay, it doesn't seem such a great deal, still.
