Was speaking to a knowledgable friend of mine and having a laugh and a joke about the tomos and he said to remove the baffles out the exhaust as it's pretty restrictive and long...
I posed the question "Surely if I remove the baffles then the mixture will lean out" to which his reply was "Dunno, I thought it's only putting an expansion chamber on that'd lean it out"

So in a moment of confusion, I ask you guys, Would it lean out my mixture to a dangerous amount? Smile Plugs reading a nice tan colour at the moment and baffles have been decoked.

It would be leaner, I don't know about dangerously lean however.

Hi

Might make a difference. Might flow a bit better, but the expansion chamber is the main thing that affects the pressure waves and the resulting mixture requirements.

Sorry, not much help.

All the best

Keith

Well it's getting an expansion chamber next week, as well as a new inlet manifold to fit a bigger carb... also getting 10 main jets so I can jet it accurately.
