I've just seen them on another site and they really are horrific

I was wondering what you people think about it?

Depends why they're being posted really. Seen plently of the "here is what happened to someone after they crashed wearing shorts and t-shirt", lots of the American stunt videos have crashes in them which are okay as it's part of the video. So not posted for the "look at this crash, you should wear leathers!!" as everyone has seen plently of those.

i saw some really bad pics recently of a dead biker, just a pile of barely recognisable bits, first thing on the internet that's disturbed me in a long time

There's plenty of pics & vids on www.ogrish.com, but that's mental scarring stuff, like a ped boi who didn't wear a helmet & got mashed by a juggernaut... all in the best possible taste, of course.

the ones I saw were even worse than the ogrish stuff, it was a guy (presumably) who had been wearing full leathers and full face lid

I've lost too many mates from accidents for those sort of pictures to be really comfortable viewing any more (or perhaps I just mean "at present").

I wish I had the courage to go look at ogrish dot com, it might make me think more about wearing more protective stuff when riding

But I havent got the stomach. The last burial was too recently.

I really hate nasty bike crash pictures.

The odd thing is that I can have a crash, look at me knee and see it looks like raw steak, and just think "hmm, better get that cleaned up. Might take a while to heal."
But if I see the same injury on someone else in picture form, just makes me feel sick.

I doubt I would post other Bike crash pictures, but if it was my own crash I probably wouldn't mind too much.

I wouldn't, at least not here. It's not pleasant viewing for anyone and everyone around here's smart enough to know safety kit is a must. Just seems like unnecessarily lecturing people, to me.

I'd only post a picture if it illustrated the point I was trying to make.

I could post shitloads of 'Ouch' pictures, but what is the point?

We all know the damage that we may incur through riding bikes. Do we really need to see every scratch ever made through riding a bike?
