Went to meeting today showing us some riding gear we are going to sale, it was high end stuff with some clever techonolgy, but it was around a £1000 a suit. My first 4 bikes didnt cost that.

My gear is mostly RST and cost £200 for suit, just wondering how much others spend.

£100 JAcket RST Razor
£100 Trousers RST Razor
£150 Helmet Shart RSI
£150 Alphinestar smx boots

I paid £860 first lot

BKS silverstone two piece
BKS quantum boots
BKS glove that went with the suit
Vemar helmet
BKS base layer

(I was at a BKS stand). This was about 40% less than the shelf price.

£100 for some draggin jeans (twice)

£130 for some new more comfortable alpinestar boots

With the gear saving my life I'm willing to spend a lot. I haggle for the price of the bike though.

Need some new gloves and was thinking about getting my leathers fixed but for nearly £150 to fix them, I might as well buy a new suit but not probably closer to summer.

Winter lid, Shoei Raid, about £200
Summer lid, Simpson Bandit, about £450
Gloves, no idea who they're made by, bought them in a rush, £30
Leather jacket, bought on the last day of a show, £70
Waterproof textile jacket, £20
Winter boots, Sidi MX, probably about £200 to replace (mine are 20 odd years old)
Summer boots, hi top style trainer work boots with steel toes, £11
Jeans, whatever I've got at the time.

Did have a set of leathers made in 1987, to my own design, but they don't fit anymore, think they were £300 then.

Yep.
I suppose a good bit of hard earned cash.

I tend to rely on the smaller British manufacturers these days.

I am not easily seduced by the big Brands.
So much big brand stuff made in China these days.
Seems the bigger they get, the cheaper quality mass produced stuff they flood the market with.
And of course the bigger they get the more they can pay the top sports guys to wear their gear. An excellent marketing technique, I think.

I always buy gear made of real cow hide leather. Except for the oversuit.

At a guess total £600.
