A while, about 2 months I think. Annoying as I liked the guys in there and it was handy for Yamaha parts.

Sad news. The guys in there were always good as gold when I lived in Bethnal Green, sad to see more and more independent bike shops closing down. Crying or Very sad

Can't be that long ago, I bought my scooter from them in April.

I can't imagine there'd be much call for motorbikes and accessories in Shoreditch.
Perhaps if they'd sold plimsols, floppy haircuts, tight trousers and Che Guevara biographies they'd still be in business and raking it in.

Other than the Swindon branch, they have one in Torquay and one in Plymouth, yet they have shut down the two stores in the london area. I would have thought they would be a lot more profitable than a bike store in Torquay. What do they sell there FFS, mobility bikes for the over 80's?

They just opened a clothing/accessories store in Bolton, and (apparently) plan to open a motorcycle store in the next year in the North West.

I'd guess maintaining a presence that close to the City of London is seriously expensive, and London as a whole isn't short of bike outlets. Pity 'cos they had tons of biker clothing in the basement, like several dozen styles of lids, dozens of boots gloves etc. Now I need to find somewhere with that sort of stock level near the city, my fingers & toes are just starting to feel the cold so I need winter gloves & boots which I prefer to try for size so mail order's out of the question.
