Best looking bike of that era. I love them, and that looks like a nice example.

Just literally sold my vfr400. I can hear the guy leaving now Laughing .

So stage one complete. Rang the kawasaki man up this morning (20 minutes ago) and viewing sunday. He's asking £1200, and from what i've seen thats a fair deal. Although i will offer £1100 of course Twisted Evil .

This bike was one of the first i saw as a kid, to have one pop up locally and this good nick its a crime for me not to buy it.

Its a shorty can, but i believe he has the original too. Thumbs Up

Massively agree. Always start with a piss-take offer. It's worth it for that one time the guy says "Well, it's the best offer I've had, I'd better accept it!".

You can always go up, you can't easily go down.

Got a smartphone?

Bookmark this page:

https://motinfo.direct.gov.uk/internet/jsp/ECHID-Internet-History-Request.jsp

Then when you get to see the documents put the ref No in here and you can view the MOT history including any advisories. You have to look for on the bike then.

Not a fan of the colour combo but thats cosmetic. I liked my od 7r and would have another if funds and time allowed.

From what I can see... bad points....

Aftermarket fiberglass tail unit
Mismatched couloured fairings
Carbon frame covers possibly hiding damage
Brakes upgraded to a downgrade.
RHS fairing damaged and bolts missing
Screen bolts missing

Good points.

Stainless system
Its a ZX7R.

Id be using those points alone to knock a fair chunk off the asking price!

And it appears to be wearing a pickup on the RHS fork for a cycle computer suggesting the speedo dosent work.

Another good argument for checking the MOT history - coz if it hasn't got any, it's probably an ex-trackday bike!

I've got one of those in my garage at the moment, (it's my brothers). They are heavy, have an agricultural feel to the engines (in a good way), 190 rear section, wide front - looks really good, sounds really good, enjoy Thumbs Up .

He also did the 4 pot brake mod as he was chewing up seals on the shitty 6 pots.
