I've got a pair from HG that have done me well over the last couple of years. However they are part textile part leather so aren't suitable for the track.

Can anyone recommend me some good quality track legal gloves?

I was looking at the RST tracktech ones which are about £50. Budget would be around £30 (but if I need to spend more I will).

As they are for use on the track primarily, they need to be good quality and not fall appart at the sight of tarmac Thumbs Up

You will have to be a supreme bargain hunter to find high quality gloves for £30.

Id suggest anything that is Kangaroo hide, but I have been out of the game for some time, so things may have changed!! Laughing

For track, I've crashed in some fairly cheap gloves and they've done ok. More expensive might give you a second crash where they're abraded.

Spend 3x that and you'll have a good glove that'll last. I've got 2 pairs of Alpinestars GP-Pros. Done about 15k miles in one pair and crashed in them twice on the road. Other pair are more like 3k miles old. Most comfortable glove I've had. I was tempted to buy the alpinestars 365 goretex, but realising that I wasn't going to be sticking it out on the bike this winter, I opted to get the best summer gloves I could get my hands on... which turned out to be the one I already had!

RST tracktech ones

I have a pair of these, the waterproof winter ones. I hate them, they were fitted in store but still give me no movement whatsoever, it's hard to gauge how much you're adding throttle, they stink after a few wears and are annoying to get on and off.

I bought some real cheap ones from Lidl and they're far better. Thumbs Down

Another vote for Alpinestars gloves. I still have a pair of SP1's that I originally bought for my CBT and DAS in 2005 - and still using them daily.

I also have some johnny-no-name textile winter gloves that are already showing significant signs of wear after only one winter
