August 29, 2002 - Jester Interactive today announced its intentions to create an arcade-style motorcycle game based on the Isle of Man's Tourist Trophy Race Circuit. Isle of Man TT will appear on a handful on unannounced systems and features lengthy motorcycle races with single-rider races and side-car cycle racing events to boot.
Sega created the first Isle of Man racing game for the arcades, called Manx TT. Sega's underwhelming arcade game featured few tracks, an arcade style of play, an intense sense of speed, but little else. During the course of the year there are several race events that take place on the small, agricultural isle of Man, which is just off the coast of England. Sega's was based on the Manx TT event, a shorter section of the full island course.

Jester's game is in the planning stages and it is based on an entirely different race, called the Isle of Man TT, which covers the entire island. This race takes place at incredibly high speeds, averaging 127 miles per hour, and is 37 miles long, essentially taking its races around the perimeter of the island three times on plain pedestrian streets. Jester is working on featuring a split section course, mountainous and street-based courses, various kinds of bikes and changing weather patterns (rain, hail, sun shine, cloudy, etc.) to reflect the real nature of the island's own oft-changing weather behavior.

Jester will announce more in the future on The Isle of Man TT, and IGN will have more then when it does.

hmmmmmm
When will they ever bring out quality Gran Turismo on bikes type game?
We need something with the controls of MotoGP on Xbox but with a 'career' mode in which you have to start out racing 125s or minimotos or something and work your way upto RCVs etc.

Lol......and the licences could include the U-turn on a clapped out CB500 Laughing
