Any dispatch riders out there able to recommend/share what they use for biking all day in all weather?
I'm looking at a Weise jacket cause I heard you guys wear them all the time?
Cheers

Someone lied to you. Weise is not a brand in common use by circuit riders.

Until recently the most popular in London was Bering as they are hard wearing and we used to get them VERY cheap and no VAT. In the last couple of years there has been a massive shift to Rukka Goretex and Hein Gericke Goretex both purchased outside of London where shops don't try and use the 'wear and tear' excuse to get out of honouring warranties.

At the moment I'm using Hein Gerickes 'Cruise daylight' coat and 'Explorer pants'.

I rode for two years in a Heine Gericke "Touareg" textile suit, still got it now - six years later - as it outlasted the job. Dunno what the quality is like now, but it impressed the hell out of me.

Not as waterproof as it was now but still warm.

I don't despatch but I have weise gear - I don't rate it.

Jacket and trousers leak (weise dynastar II) and are a bit shit in a few other ways. I have a pair of Weise boots too which are even worse, had them a year and the stitching holding the armoury bits to the leather have worn through, they leak and the heels inside where your foot goes has worn through the liners to the leather.

Not something I would recommend, they are not exactly uner intensive use like a courier etc would do either.

Can't say so, no. Usually Rukka on the distance circuit from what I remember.

Gloves are goretex hein gericke.

The cruise has been discontinued for something else. shame really as apart from being warm and dry it has a little pocket on the left sleeve for putting toll tickets in

I use a Hein Gericke cruise Gore-Tex suit from circa 2005. I've probably covered 100,000 miles in it now and it only just started letting water in last year. Combined with a waterproof oversuit in *heavy* rain I stay dry.

Well worth the moolah. Thumbs Up
