I've been looking to hop on a bike for a while now and I've been doing my fair share of research, however I'm wondering if its worth doing the CBT course on your own bike. Should I get the CBT out the way first before shopping around, or is it near as makes no difference? Any help is greatly appreciated.

May as well do the CBT on their bike at least that way you'll know if biking's for you.

Agreed. It solves the problem of getting your bike to the training centre without a CBT. I would imagine the difference in cost would be negligible.

There are a couple of other reasons, as well.
If you uise your own bike, you have to find some way of getting it to the CBT site, before you can ride it..... and if you dont complete in the day? Back!

But, main one, you are REALLY likely to drop it during CBT!

I've instructed lots of CBT's and usually its no big deal; your most people are normally stationary, or not even ON the bike when they dump it, overbalecing coming to a stop or even just stumbling wheeling it around on machine handling excersises, so usually no harm done, just a bit of red face moment, but can be a bit more gauling if its your own, bike and you manage to snap a lever or something.....

I have recently passed my CBT, and after my experience, I would say to certainly use their bikes if possible. I done mine on an old Yamaha SR, and lets just say, its a lot worse off now that it was when I got on it. lol.

Easy as, though Wink
