This is my 'project' ive swapped my honda cb500 for a tdm 850, that need some serious love, its covered in dents, scratches, missing bits. So my aim is to get it up and running nicely...

One problem, im currently suffering with a bad vertigo problem, that doctors seem to have no idea what it is, ive been stuck on my back for 4 months, so its literally going to be 'undo 2 bolts, lay back down' so its gunna be a slow one!

Ill start with some photos of the bike as ive got it.

I started off removing the front nose fairing, which was pretty simple lol.

Still no closer to making any sense of the frame no (begining to think im opening a can of worms here)
Then I decided to get the battery out (after noticing its leaking...alot)
Which genius decides to put a battery UNDER a tank!
So off comes the tank and battery, which a bit of help from my dad.

You need a to keep a serious eye on the oil in these. There is no oil light and 90% of them drink it, I would be checking every 1000 miles.

Get over to Carpe TDM, there is a wealth of knowledge there also loads of spares floating about. https://www.carpe-tdm.net/ipb/
