I bought one late last year (Xmas prezzie for the missus)

It's G reg and had been standing for a while, but all it took was for the carbs to be cleaned and some sticking cables to be sorted out, and it hasn't missed a beat since.

It has been ridden in weathers that I wouldn't take my 7 out in Wink and has been learned on by the missus for 6 months.

Still now it fires first time and the only problem we have had was when the fuel tap was leaking.

Next year it's coming to the track with me Very Happy

Its down to luck, chances are if you have been offerd one cheap its cheap for a reason. any bike if looked after is reliable, similarly if thrashed and ignored then expect constant greif from it.

give it a bloody good look over before committing to buying it
