Just been watching Bullseye on Challenge TV. Embarassed

And the star prize was a.......

BRAND NEW Vauxhall Nova!!!!!!! Shocked

The 2 guys never actually won the prize and looked very gutted. Wonder how they would feel looking back on this?

Anyway, The Crystal Maze is just about to start (and it the old version with the baldy guy on it).

Just want to also add that the hairstyles in this show are exceptionally bad.

I feel ashamed to say I watched Crystal Maze and Bullseye the other day on Challenge. I quite enjoyed them. I wish there was something like that on Saturday night TV nowdays. The old Generation game or even Big Break are far better than the chaff on weekend telly now. I guess its all about generating phone in money now though rather than just decent watchable TV.

I loved Saturday-night TV as a kid, game show after game show followed by some Scrapheap Challenge later in the evening, fantastic. Thumbs Up.

I also wish there was something (anything!) like The Crystal Maze, Catchphrase, Bullseye or anything similar on TV nowadays (produced as a new series and not repeats) as nowadays Saturday-night TV is the same useless and mind-numbing drivel week in and week out, it's a shame.

I'll guess I'll have to make do with re-runs. Sad.

Excellent show.

Just to rub it in for loosing...

"Heres what you COULD have won, show them Bully"

Crystal maze was ace with the Bald dude, but the dark haired fella (Ed Tudar Pole??) ruined it. Far too lame.

Saturday night gameshows rocked. Catchphrase, Noels House Party, Bruces Price is Right and the card game.

"Lower than a 9, awwwwwwwwwww what rotten luck, a 10"...

Harry Hills TV Burps serves a decent enough replacement for the Russ Abbots and Brian Connelly. Would love something like Morcombe and Wise back on mind.

In my memory the contestants on Bullseye were always mid 20's but had missing teeth, beer-bottle glasses and paedo haircuts. If they were a couple they always lived somewhere like Birmingham and won a speedboat and if they were two drinking mates they'd win a fitted kitchen between them.

That wasn't a bad prize then.

In 1984, I was getting fed up with old bangers that kept breaking, so I looked into getting a new Nova; it was £3995 and the payments were £135 a month, but I couldn't afford it, having given up being a well paid courier and moved to a sensible job that paid less than £400.

Us Brummies need speedboats for trips on the cut. I hated Saturday evening TV, remember Blind Date?

Cheers, Roseanne, Whose line is it anyway, Golden Girls, followed by Eurotrash circa 1990. Kept me off the streets, that line up... well until I discovered MD 20/20.

Blnd Date used to be alright, then it got well over the top, just to squeeze a few more quid out of it, no doubt.

I watched Family Fortunes on Challenge the other week, and the prize was a brand new, shiny Daewoo Leganza. All decked out in twinkling lights for effect. Loved it.
