I have my Xbox on ebay ending Saturday, I want a parcel service to pick it up from my work and ship it to the buyer. I know lots of these services are run by complete useless twats, I want someone reliable and cheap.

Any recommendations?

Parcelforce, insure it for good luck. They seem to be ok and on time. Best thing is they will leave at local PO for the buyer which is better than some depot that could be 50 miles away.

i still use parcelforce but not for export to foreign lands

I sold something on ebay to thailand, sent it there by parcelforce, cost £95 but the buyer paid so fair dinkum, parcel force then sent the %^&*ing parcel by fedex to thailand, couldn't find the address, the recipient couldn't get any sense out of the thai post office (as it was with fedex and they didn't inform me) and after me checking the address details twice and re-emailing them to parcelforce along with the recievers mobile number they still couldn't find him, and returned the parcel to the uk, then phoned me up and asked for £35 to get me own stuff back, and then ebay refunded the buyer in full including the shipping costs, thankfully the goods had cost me next to nothing and I sold them again a week later and covered my losses but............................I'll never send anything abroad by parcel force again, or by sell abroad by ebay

I've been using TNT via parcel2go.

Slightly dearer option but so far everything i've sent has been there in 24hrs and in one piece and loads cheaper than parcel farce.

The bloke that collects from here is decent and not your average parcel monkey.

Hermes, city link and HDNL/yodel seem to be the ones to avoid most at the moment

I have used these in the past to send my 360.

They use Parcel force and they pick up from your house at a time you specify.

Had to do this lots, for both foreign and domestic shipments.

Parcelforce via parcel2go has never failed me. It got to the point the pickup guy would phone me and say "Pickup from the usual place?". Sterling service.

Not using Parcel Force due to bad experience with them, they almost lost me £450.

I will have a look at the other suggestions (apart from yodel) Laughing
