Hello im new here,
and therefore will ask a question that may have been asked before,
Ive just passed the Mod 2 of a DAS course, in england however im a student originally from NI and thats where my provisional licence is from.
The school seemed fairly sure that the full non restricted entitlement would be added to my licence, but i cant find any solid written proof, and before i go looking at a bike it might be good to know, so thats the question. Having done the DAS will i get its benifit?

Obviously i can just wait the 3 weeks it will take the DVLNI to turn it around and read it for myself.

If you managed to take your tests on your provisional NI license then you will be issued the full license of that test pass.

If there was a problem they wouldn't have let you take the test in the first place.

Hi

I suspect it you send it to NI you will land up with an NI full licence but with the 25kW (as there is no DAS in NI). However You might well be able to exchange your NI provisional for a mainland full licence with the DAS taken account of.

Many years ago (late 1980s) I did my bike test with an NI provisional and had no problem swapping that for a mainland full licence without having an NI full licence in between.

All the best

Keith
