Another food thread.......
We got given a big bag of cooking apples by our neighbour as she had too many, so tonight it's all about apples in the Gixer household.
Main course: Porc Normande served with new pots and green beans.
For pudding, apple crumble and custard.
Om nom fucking nom.
So, what's cooking in your kitchen, or are you having takeaway? ____________________ Space Monkey #7

I made some sultana scones and have eaten four whilst they were still hot, with bramble jamble and lashings of clotted cream.
I've also started a sourdough starter from rye flour and onion ... but that won't be ready for a couple of days.
So I got invited round for Sunday lunch by my exes (?ex's) ... which would have almost certainly have been yummy, cos the Italian one is a blinding cook. But I declined, so they have made me up some take-away containers, which me and the big fella will be able to eat our way through the week, yay, nice and easy dinners, compliments of the ex-mister-hellkats, LOL.
Tonight, though, I shall mostly be eating some of my famous pasta sauce, which I made the other day and which only needs me to cook some spaghetti.
Or maybe a Fray Bentos pie which the big fella brought in a couple of days ago.
Or maybe just instant noodles...

Chilli has been on since 11am ready for nachos for tea.
Having to be slightly inventive as there is not a stick of furniture in the kitchen ready for a new floor going down tomorrow. As such I have a kettle and a single plate induction hob to work with for the next few days.
Once the floor is down, I can start with operation awesome kitchen. I've been waiting over a month for the flooring to be made but it will be truly awesome. I'm pimping it large with some serious custom retro stuff. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. I made oven-baked sweet potato (the skin crisped with oil and salt), with baked beans with added tomato puree and tom sauce for extra richness.
Yam, did you see the Pumpkin recipe on Saturday Morning Kitchen today, it looked lush...I copied it...(when I make it, I'll replace the eggs with honey).
Pumpkin and coconut loaf cake
Ingredients
• 600g/1lb 5oz pumpkin, peeled, seeds removed, cubed
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 100g/3½oz unsalted butter
• 300g/10½oz soft light brown sugar
• 500g/1lb 2oz self-raising flour
• ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• ½ tsp each ground ginger, cloves and nutmeg
• 50g/2oz desiccated coconut
* 2 eggs
Preparation method
1. Preheat the oven to 100C/210F/Gas ¼.
Grease and line a 20cm x 4cm/8in x 2½in loaf tin.
2. Place the pumpkin in a roasting tray & drizzle with the olive oil.
Cover with foil and roast for 25 minutes. Remove from the roasting
tray and set aside to cool. Blend the pumpkin until smooth.
3. Increase the oven to 180C/350F/Gas mark 4.
4. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add pumpkin
and stir until well combined.
5. Stir in all the dry ingredients and place the mixture into the loaf tin. Bake for 50 minutes. Remove the tin from the oven. Once cool
remove from the tin.
6. Sprinkle with icing sugar - cinnamon, slice and serve ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

Ohh man I miss cigars. I haven't smoked now for 2 years ish and fuck me I miss cigars.
An old, wrinkly, hobbly man walked passed me smoking a cigar on wednesday and I wanted to lick the inside of his mouth out. It smelt so nice. ____________________ Current: Honda Nsr 125
