(Moped) Halogen light trouble!

Hi i have a set of halogen lights for my moped ( yamaha aerox) and im having trouble trying to wire them in! Ill post a picture and i hope some one will be able to help me ! https://img818.imageshack.us/img818/5858/073jj.jpg

What sort of lights are they?

That wiring looks like it's from your headlight. The black will be earth, and the other two will be for hi and low beam, only one will be live at any one time.

If they're running lights, then you probably will want to wire them to your auxiliary light which will have a black (earth), and another live wire.

Yes! there front head lights yeah some one said black is live so i guess ill try the other to ! cheers mate

What kind of lightbulb uses that holder? As above the black will be earth. But how are you going to get hi/lo from a single filament bulb?

Assuming what you have there is the existing wiring and two bulb holders, and that black is earth; Connect two bulbholder wires together and connect that pair to black, Then one of each of the remaining two wires to each of the bulbholder wires that remain free.

Except don't bother. What you have there is one of those cheap headlight units that's built from two domestic 12V halogens. They are not designed to be used outside /with vibration so they will fail within weeks. Before that happens they will prove entirely useless at providing sufficient light.

Yeah - that looks like the kind of bulb fitting I have in my bathroom! Never seen anything like it in an automotive setting.

Oddly I was thinking earlier whether using some 12v LED downlighters may cure my CG headlamp woes (dear god it really is shit in standard spec) but considering the vibration/moisture/temperature variation issues I guess that's off the cards.
