As am I, so I'll be watching this thread with a keen eye!
The main points that I'm understanding so far are:
Try and keep the bike as upright as possible through corners (even if that means leaning off the side like a monkey).
You may, in some areas, have to ride with your feet down to act as "stabilizers" encase you begin to slip.
Allow atleast 10 times the braking distance you usually would.
Touching the front brake, even slightly, may cause the bike to slip out from under you.
Cagers expect bikes even less during the winter, so keep a keen eye out at junctions.
Make sure your lights are working correctly and brightly.
Expect to have to travel slower than normal, and increase the gap between you and cars. ____________________ 2004 R1 & 2018 XSR900 |
