Best bargain laptop for < £400

Guys,

After a new laptop - budget of £400ish.

I've had a reasonable look around, and seems this is a good deal:

Core i3 2.1Ghz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD for £350.

I can't find a laptop even for £500 that seems better value for the increase in spec.

Anyone else done this recently and found a better deal?

If you are not going to do any 3d gaming its a fair wee machine for the money.

I think ebuyer do laptop without an OS for cheap as well?

The laptop you mentioned in your OP is really good, especially for the price,.
My missus's mate just bought one and i was setting it up for her.
transferring her stuff onto it etc.

I was impressed. Build quality is great, doesnt feel cheap.
not too heavy, screen is nice, sharp and clear.

I got the Fujitsu for the mrs, its a good little laptop for the money. I couldnt find better.

Since i have installed a "gigabit section" on my network i jizzed in my pants when i hooked the Fuji Laptop to it so i could grab the backed up data from my nas.

GB Lan FTW.

I just bought that fujitsu ah531 from ebuyer - ordered it yesterday at 3:30pm, arrived today at 10am. That's what I call service. Came with free case and a 3-yr security suite.

Haven't had much of a play with it but first impressions are it's a tidy bit of kit. Screen is very nice, and the i3 cpu is a lot faster than I thought it would be.

I was going to suggest looking at the Fujitsu Lifebook at £287 but agree that the i3 is a better processor than the 2.1 duel core in the £287 unit.

I can definatly recommend the Fujitsu brand, I just replaced my old Sony Vaio with one and for the money I think it is a better Laptop.

Hope you managed to get the right deal.
