Air Filter advice please

Looking at air filters for a Deauville 700 and have seen 2 types on Ebay. "Genuine Honda Air Filter" with part no. at £20, and K&N air filter from the US at £38. Is there a quality difference between them? Are K&N some sort of super filter maker?

Oil filters seem to be all about the same price.

I owned a Deauville and always ran with the Honda air filters.
K&N are good, but I never had any bother with Honda.
Better sticking to the safe bet.

In many cases the k&n will be worse at filtration than the origional.
